Deep down I am a gamer. I feel like there are a lot of different forms of gaming. Most people think of a gamer as one who wakes up gaming, comes home from work to game, stays up late to game, and lives every second gaming. I think people who don't know much about gaming can't see that not every gamer is like that. Some people just like to play video games. No matter how bad the stereotype gets I will never change from loving to play video games.
With this, I have decided to start a journey where I will play every single game ever made. The first person I told that to said to me "why would you do something stupid like that?" He told me there are way too many games in the world to ever complete that quest. He's right. Video games will forever be developed each year, week, day, whatever...so to play all of them is almost impossible. I agree, but imagine the journey. During this quest I will visit a game, post it here, and play it to completion. After I beat it then it will go down as played and I probably won't play it again unless its for fun on my own time in the future.
Now, the biggest problem with this is that I am married, have a daughter, and work full time. It'd be super horrible for me to dedicate all of my time to playing video games instead of home life. That is where we get into the different types of gaming. I will never put gaming before my family or work. I won't even put it before my other hobbies which take precedence over this silly quest. I think it would be fun to do instead of watching T.V. I'm not a hardcore gamer, and certainly not a professional gamer. If anyone has seen me play Mega Man 1 would know that I am far from being super good at a game. If anyone has seen me play Geometry Dash would know that I am fairly good at it though.
My point is, I started a journey to play every game and it will probably never end or I'll never catch up. It won't matter because its going to be awesome. I'll document this quest here in detail as I play each game. I'll let you all know how I felt with each boss, scenario, and game. I encourage people to let me know what your thoughts are on the game I'm playing. Call me an idiot and a cheater for using the multiple pausing on the yellow devil on mega man to beat him. Call me awesome for finding a way to get the Fierce Deity's Mask on Majora's Mask before the second boss. Call me whatever. This will be a fun quest and I hope one day everyone will be able to join me in this journey. Why not? Video games are awesome!
